The Original Personalized Bracelet opens the list: it is the Maison's iconic piece, the one it all started with. How to Choose Based on the Word You Want to Shape
The choice starts with what you want to have hand-shaped. A short word or name finds its place on an Original Personalized Bracelet or an Original Personalized Ring, in lowercase script, without accents or apostrophes (the letter "J" is the only one shaped as a capital when it starts a word). For a single initial, or several initials standing for several names, the Original Initial Ring answers that need, as does the Capital Initial Necklace, whose lettering is in capitals. For a piece worn without personalization, the O Pure Bracelet or the Nude Hammered Bracelet offer an already-set shape, hand-shaped with the same care, and shipped without the crafting time tied to a personalized word. Not every style in this selection can be personalized: each product page states what can be hand-shaped.
Materials and Personalization
Yellow 14k gold-filled, also known as Gold Filled 14 karat, is a solid layer of 585/1000 gold applied onto a base metal: it holds 50 to 100 times more gold than traditional gold plating and is not harmed by water, showers included. 18k gold, or 750/1000 gold, is a solid gold wire made of 75% pure gold, hallmarked and certified by one of the Maison's jewelry artisans, found here on the Capital Initial Necklace. The precious wire is hand-shaped, formed with pliers, then the whole piece is cold-worked so it holds its shape — unlike an engraved piece of jewelry, where the design is cut into a flat surface. Hand-shaping takes 1 to 3 business days for 14k gold-filled, 3 to 7 business days for 18k gold, not counting home delivery, which takes 2 to 3 business days. In Paris, personalization can also be done on-site, in about thirty minutes. Each piece comes in a gift box, backed by a one-year warranty, with the shine of the 14k gold-filled wire guaranteed for life.
