The hand-shaped design is then mounted on a textile cord, for a bracelet worn close to the wrist, in a men's size. Every tension point is reinforced with laser micro-welding, built to withstand daily wear. Crafted in 18k gold, this piece carries a ten-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing or material defects: a solid gold wire, hallmarked and certified, that holds value proportional to the amount of gold it contains — unlike 14k gold-filled, a solid gold envelope over a base metal core. This design can be personalized with up to 10 letters, either a hand-shaped word or name, or one or several initials. Lettering is written in lowercase script, except for the letter "J," hand-shaped in uppercase at the start of a word; accents, apostrophes, and special characters are not shaped, though spaces can be added on request, and the atelier is glad to look into requests in Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic, or other scripts. The cord comes in seven colors: navy, gray, red, orange, khaki, black, or natural beige. Personalization, including the hand-shaping itself, takes about thirty minutes — it can even be done on the spot at the atelier, right in front of the customer. This design is also available in rose 14k gold-filled, yellow or rose 14k gold-filled, sterling silver, or rose and white 18k gold — the latter, which does not oxidize, is a good choice for anyone who swims often or is frequently active in water.
