What sets our brooches apart
These brooches are handcrafted pieces, a single precious metal wire shaped by hand with pliers, no mold involved, by artisans trained for months before shaping their first piece. Each hand-shaped wire receives laser micro-welding reinforcement at tension points, for lasting resilience. All can be personalized: a name, a word, or an initial — and that initial is never a character picked from a prefabricated alphabet, but truly someone's own. Symbols such as a number, a heart, or an infinity sign can also be added on request. All materials used are hypoallergenic, and our raw materials are recycled and recyclable. Each brooch is presented in a jewelry box, ready to be gifted or kept.
The art of precious wire
Every letter is hand-shaped from a single gold or silver wire.
The metal is cold work-hardened to hold its shape, then reinforced with laser micro-welding at the tension points. Atelier Paulin has been hand-shaping in Paris since 2014.
How to choose yours
They come in White 18k gold, Yellow 18k gold, and Yellow 14k gold-filled, from €140 to €1,310. This price range reflects the actual amount of gold present: 14k gold-filled is a solid 585 gold envelope over a metal base, while 18k gold is a solid wire made of 75% pure gold, hallmarked and certified, and so holds a value proportional to the amount of gold it contains — useful both for resale and for passing down. For someone who swims often, exercises a lot, or frequently has their hands in water, White 18k gold is the material to recommend, since it does not oxidize. The warranty covers 10 years on 18k gold and one year on 14k gold-filled, against manufacturing or material defects.

A personalized brooch suits any occasion where you want to mark a bond: a birth, a birthday, a thank-you gift, or simply a thoughtful gesture. You can come have it personalized right at the atelier, in about thirty minutes, or order it for someone you love. It will be slipped into the package. the gift option at checkout adds a printed card with your message (along with the bag, €2). The price itself never appears, as the invoice is sent by email to the buyer alone, so the recipient discovers only the piece of jewelry and the thought behind it.
