The Personalized Safety Pin Brooch in yellow 14k gold-filled stands out first through its hand-shaping: no mold is ever used — the precious metal wire is worked entirely by hand, with pliers, by artisans trained for months before shaping their first piece. Shaping takes about 30 minutes, a short enough process that personalization can even happen in front of the customer, at the Parisian atelier founded in 2014. The lettering is distinctive too: letters are hand-shaped in lowercase cursive, except for a capital "J" at the start of a word; accents and apostrophes cannot be reproduced. As for warranty coverage, this 14k gold-filled version carries one year of protection against manufacturing or material defects, while the shine of the gold-filled wire itself is guaranteed for life. How to choose your Personalized Safety Pin Brooch
Start by choosing your personalization: up to 10 letters are possible, either as a hand-shaped name or word, or as one or several initials. This 10-letter maximum stays the same regardless of the size you choose. The hand-shaped word comes only in cursive; symbols (a number, a heart, an infinity sign) can be added on request, as can another alphabet or language — reach out to the atelier to discuss it. Material is worth considering too: this brooch is also available in rose 14k gold-filled, as well as in yellow, rose, or white 18k gold. The price difference between these versions comes down to the actual amount of gold: 14k gold-filled is a solid layer of 585 gold bonded to a metal base, while 18k gold is a solid wire, hallmarked and certified, carrying a 10-year warranty on the 18k gold pieces.
