Next comes work-hardening, which gives the wire its resilience, carried out on the entire piece once hand-shaping is complete. Some of these pieces can be personalized, others are meant to be worn as they are, depending on preference. They come in White 18k gold, Yellow 18k gold, or Yellow 14k gold-filled, with the price difference between these materials simply reflecting the amount of gold actually present: a solid gold shell for the gold-filled wire, a solid wire made of 75% pure gold for the 18k. Can I return a personalized piece of jewelry if I change my mind?

No, a piece hand-shaped to order with the word you chose cannot be returned or refunded (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code), since it is made to your specifications. The only exception is a manufacturing defect, which is covered by the warranty. Sizing, however, can be adjusted: a ring by up to two sizes, a bracelet by one size, free of charge unless 18k gold material needs to be added.

Can 14k gold-filled jewelry be repaired if it breaks?

This is the one weak point of this material: 14k gold-filled wire cannot be re-soldered. If it snaps cleanly, for instance after rough handling, the piece is remade from scratch, at half the current price outside the warranty. Sterling silver and 18k gold, on the other hand, can be repaired and re-soldered for a quote. In the case of gold-filled, this isn't a standard repair but a replacement of the piece.

Is your jewelry suitable for someone who swims often or plays a lot of sports?

Yes, as long as you choose the right material: White 18k gold does not oxidize, making it the material to recommend for someone who swims often, plays a lot of sports, or frequently has their hands in water. Sterling silver, on the other hand, is a "living" metal that can oxidize on contact with moisture, chlorine, or chemicals — a natural and reversible phenomenon, but one best avoided during intense sports activity or frequent pool use.

I don't know the recipient's ring size or name — what can I give instead?
