The Personalized Richelieu Bracelet begins with a single wire of 18k rose gold, hand-shaped with pliers, never cast or molded: every artisan trained for months before shaping their first piece. This handwork is followed by work-hardening across the entire piece, once shaping is complete, giving the wire its shape memory and resilience. In 18k gold, it carries a ten-year warranty against manufacturing or material defects, the mark of a solid gold wire, hallmarked, that holds a value proportional to the gold it contains — ten years being the warranty specific to this material. Its raw materials, like all those used at the atelier, are recycled and recyclable.
How to Choose Your Personalized Richelieu Bracelet
This piece can be personalized with up to 10 letters, hand-shaped into a word or a name, or as initials standing for one or several names. Lettering is in lowercase script, except for a capital "J" at the start of a word; accents and apostrophes cannot be hand-shaped, but spaces can be added on request, and other alphabets such as Arabic, Hebrew, or Cyrillic can be considered by the atelier on a case-by-case basis. This letter maximum stays the same regardless of the size chosen. Hand-shaping a personalized piece takes about 30 minutes, which means you can also have it made in person at the atelier. This design is also available in 18k yellow gold, yellow 14k gold-filled, rose 14k gold-filled, and 18k white gold: solid gold versions carry a ten-year warranty, gold-filled versions a one-year warranty, with the gold's shine guaranteed for life — the difference in warranty length reflecting the amount of gold actually present, as gold-filled is a solid layer of 14k gold over a base metal core, while 18k gold is a certified solid wire that holds a value proportional to the gold it contains.
