The Original Initial Bangle Bracelet features a single letter, handcrafted in lowercase cursive (a J would be written in uppercase), chosen among the letters of the alphabet as the initial of a first name. In yellow 14k gold-filled, it revives a design set down since the Maison's earliest days. The wire is never cast or molded: it is handcrafted by hand with pliers, a gesture the artisans learn over months before handcrafting their first piece of jewelry. Work-hardening, which gives the wire its shape memory, happens after this handcrafting, on the piece as a whole. This same style also exists in rose 14k gold-filled and in 925 sterling silver, two materials, like this one, that are hypoallergenic.
How to Choose Your Original Initial Bangle Bracelet
Wrist size can be chosen from four options, XS for 15 cm, S for 16 cm, M for 17 cm and L for 18 cm: the bracelet is meant to be worn snug, and an additional ring allows it to be lengthened by one centimeter if needed. Only one initial is handcrafted per piece; to bring together several first names, one chooses several bracelets. A one-size resizing remains possible, depending on the lettering, at no charge unless it requires added 18k gold material. At the workshop, personalization is done in front of the customer in about thirty minutes, the time it takes to handcraft a piece of jewelry of this kind. This style in yellow 14k gold-filled costs €195, guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase against manufacturing or material defects, and for life for the shine of the gold-filled (the same guarantee applies in rose 14k gold-filled; in 925 sterling silver, the guarantee is one year).
