Three precious metals, one wire.
Atelier Paulin shapes every piece from a single wire, in one of three metals: sterling silver 925, gold-filled 585/1000 and 750/1000 gold (18k), chosen for how they hold up as much as for their color. All three are hypoallergenic.

ISterling silver
Sterling silver 925, white and bright.
92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals: a white, bright color, and a metal that is hypoallergenic and antibacterial, well suited to sensitive skin.
Silver is a living metal. In contact with air, humidity or chlorine, a thin layer of oxidation can appear. It is natural, reversible, and it never calls the quality of the piece into question.
Care
Lukewarm soapy water and a soft cloth. To bring back the original shine: baking soda and aluminum foil in hot water.
Day to day
750/1000 white gold jewelryKeep it out of the pool, the shower and sport. For a life in the water, choose 750/1000 white gold, which does not oxidize.
IIGold-filled 585/1000 - 14k gold-filled
A solid layer of gold.
Gold-filled 585/1000 is a solid layer of 585 thousandths gold, bonded with heat or pressure onto a brass or bronze core. It holds fifty to one hundred times more gold than traditional gold plating, and behaves like a 585 gold wire.
It comes in yellow and in rose. There is no white gold-filled: for white, the material is 750/1000 gold.
It is not afraid of water
Shower, pool and beach are fine, unlike gold-plated. No particular care: a soft cloth from time to time.
One year warranty, shine for life
Our warrantiesOne year of warranty, and the shine of gold-filled guaranteed for life. One reservation only, to preserve the shape of a hand-shaped wire: take it off for intense physical activity. If it breaks clean through, we make the piece again.
III750/1000 gold - 18k
A solid gold wire, 75% pure gold.
The gold of the French tradition: a solid wire made of 75% pure gold. Every piece is hallmarked, certified and shaped by one of the jewelers of the Maison.
It comes in yellow, rose and white. 750/1000 white gold does not oxidize: it is the material for those who swim, play sport or live with their hands in the water.
No upkeep
Lukewarm water and mild soap, dried with a cloth. Shower, pool and beach are fine.
Ten year warranty
Care and repairA 750/1000 gold piece keeps a value proportional to the gold it contains. It carries a ten year warranty on 750/1000 gold, and it can be repaired and resoldered at the atelier, on quotation.
Choosing
What sets them apart.
The same wire, the same gesture. What changes is the quantity of gold, the life with water, the way a piece is repaired, and the warranty: ten years on 750/1000 gold, one year on gold-filled and sterling silver 925.
The gold in the metal
Sterling silver 925: no gold. Gold-filled: a solid layer of 585 gold, fifty to one hundred times more than plating. 750/1000 gold: a solid wire, 75% pure gold, hallmarked.
Life with water
Gold-filled and 750/1000 gold are not afraid of water. Silver oxidizes, reversibly. 750/1000 white gold does not oxidize.
Repair
Sterling silver 925 and 750/1000 gold can be resoldered, on quotation. Gold-filled cannot be resoldered: a clean break means the piece is made again. Reshaping and cleaning are free for all three.

Are all your materials hypoallergenic?
Yes, all three: sterling silver 925, gold-filled 585/1000 and 750/1000 gold. Silver is not the only choice for sensitive skin.

Is there such a thing as white gold-filled?
No. Gold-filled comes in yellow and rose. For white, the material is 750/1000 gold, which comes in yellow, rose and white.

Which material should I choose for a life in the water?
Gold-filled and 750/1000 gold are not afraid of water. For anyone who swims often, plays a lot of sport or lives with their hands in the water, 750/1000 white gold is the material to choose: it does not oxidize.
