Sterling silver 925, 14k gold-filled, 18k gold: three hand-shaped wires, chosen for their durability as much as for their shine. All our handcrafted materials are hypoallergenic.
ISterling silver
925 Sterling silver, white and luminous
92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals: a bright, luminous white color, and a hypoallergenic, antibacterial metal, ideal for sensitive skin.
Silver is a "living" metal, hand-shaped and handcrafted into each piece. In contact with air, moisture, or chlorine, a fine layer of oxidation may appear: this is natural, reversible, and never affects the quality of the jewelry piece.
Care
Warm soapy water and a soft cloth for this handcrafted, hand-shaped piece. To restore its original shine: baking soda and aluminum foil in hot water.

18k white gold jewelryAvoid the pool, the shower, and sports. For a life spent in water, choose hand-shaped White 18k gold instead, as this handcrafted piece does not oxidize.
II14k Gold-Filled
A solid layer of gold
Gold-filled is a solid, hand-shaped layer of 585/1000 (14k) gold, bonded under heat and pressure onto a brass or bronze core. It contains fifty to one hundred times more gold than traditional gold plating, giving it the same properties as solid 14k handcrafted gold wire.
It comes in yellow and rose. There is no white gold-filled: white is only available in 18k gold.
Water-resistant
Shower, pool, and beach are all safe for this hand-shaped, handcrafted piece, unlike gold-plated pieces. No special care needed: just a soft cloth from time to time.
Guaranteed for one year, shine for life
Our GuaranteesA one-year warranty, and the shine of gold-filled is guaranteed for life. The only precaution, to preserve the shape of a hand-shaped wire: take it off during intense physical activity. If it breaks clean through, the piece is remade from scratch.
III18k Gold
A solid gold wire, 75% pure gold
The gold of French tradition: a solid wire made of 75% pure gold. Each piece is hallmarked, certified, and hand-shaped by an Atelier Paulin goldsmith.
Available in yellow, rose, and white. White 18k gold doesn't oxidize: it's the material of choice for those who swim, play sports, or keep their hands in water often.
No maintenance required
Warm water and mild soap, dry with a soft cloth. This handcrafted, hand-shaped piece can be worn in the shower, pool, and at the beach without worry.
Ten-Year Guarantee
Care and RepairAn 18k gold piece retains a value proportional to the gold it contains; it is guaranteed for ten years, and can be repaired and re-soldered at the atelier, upon quote.

The same wire, the same hand-shaping. What changes is the amount of gold, how it lives with water, how it's repaired, and the warranty: ten years on 18k gold, one year on 14k gold-filled and sterling silver.
Gold in the material
Sterling silver 925: no gold. 14k gold-filled: a solid 585 gold envelope, hand-shaped and handcrafted, fifty to one hundred times more gold than plating. 18k gold: a solid wire, 75% pure gold, hallmarked.
Life with water
14k gold-filled and 18k gold, both hand-shaped by our artisans, are not affected by water. Sterling silver may tarnish, but this is reversible. White 18k gold does not tarnish.
The Repair
Sterling silver and 18k gold pieces, both handcrafted, can be re-soldered upon request, quote provided after assessment. Gold-filled pieces cannot be re-soldered: a clean break means the hand-shaped piece is remade from scratch. Reshaping and cleaning are free for all pieces.

Are all materials hypoallergenic?
Yes, all of them: sterling silver 925, handcrafted 14k gold-filled, and hand-shaped 18k gold. Silver isn't the only option for sensitive skin.

Does white 14k gold-filled exist?
No. Hand-shaped, handcrafted gold-filled is available in yellow and rose only; white is only available in 18k gold, which comes in yellow, rose, and white.

Which material for a life in the water?
14k gold-filled and 18k gold are both hand-shaped, handcrafted pieces that are water-safe. For anyone who swims often, plays a lot of sport, or has their hands in water all day, white 18k gold is the material to choose: it doesn't tarnish.
