Care and RepairPersonalized Original Ear Cuff: what sets it apart
The Original Personalized Ear Cuff is handcrafted by hand with pliers, from a yellow 14k gold-filled wire, with no mold at all: the artisans train for months before handcrafting their first piece. The handcrafting takes about 30 minutes, and then work hardening, applied to the whole piece once the word or initial has been shaped, gives the wire its shape memory. In yellow 14k gold-filled, this piece is guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase against manufacturing or material defects, and the shine of the 14k gold-filled itself is guaranteed for life. Also available in rose 14k gold-filled, 925 sterling silver, and rose, yellow, or white 18k gold, its warranty changes depending on the material chosen: 1 year for the gold-filled pieces and the silver, 10 years for 18k gold, a solid wire, hallmarked, whose value follows that of the gold it contains, unlike the 585 gold shell that makes up the gold-filled.
How to choose your Personalized Original Ear Cuff
The Ear Cuff can be worn on the left ear or the right ear, a choice to make depending on which ear you wish to adorn. Up to 5 letters can be handcrafted onto it, as a word or a full first name, or as an initial, standing for one or several first names. The lettering remains in lowercase cursive, except for the "J," which takes a capital letter at the start of a word; neither accents nor apostrophes can be handcrafted, but another alphabet (Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic) or another language can be considered by the atelier upon request, as can a symbol such as a number, a heart, or an infinity sign. For anyone who often has their hands in water or swims frequently, white 18k gold does not oxidize, a material worth considering when choosing.
