I hand-shape this piece in sterling silver, to wear on the left ear or the right ear, whichever you prefer. The same silhouette also comes in yellow 14k gold-filled, rose 14k gold-filled, rose 18k gold, yellow 18k gold, and white 18k gold. On the gold-filled versions, the piece is guaranteed for one year and the gold's shine for life; on the 18k gold versions, the guarantee extends to ten years, because the wire is solid gold, hallmarked, and holds a value proportional to the gold it contains. The difference between these versions simply comes down to the amount of gold present: a solid layer over a base metal on one side, a solid wire made of 75% pure gold on the other. I work with recycled and recyclable raw materials. In sterling silver, the guarantee runs for one year from the date of purchase against any manufacturing or material defect, at $105.
How to Choose Your Original Personalized Ear Cuff
The lettering is hand-shaped in lowercase cursive, except for the letter "J," which is capitalized when it opens a word; I don't reproduce accents, apostrophes, or special characters, but I'm happy to add spaces on request. The hand-shaped word keeps a single script, cursive. A symbol remains possible on request — a number, a heart, or an infinity sign — and if you're looking for more options, the site's locket charms can be added to any piece of jewelry: religious symbols, a clover, an initial. I can also look into another alphabet — Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic — or another language, depending on your request. Each personalized piece takes me about thirty minutes to hand-shape, a gesture I carry out with pliers, never casting or molding the metal, and one my artisans train in for months before shaping their first piece. This hand-shaped wire is then reinforced with laser micro-welding at the tension points. You can also come have it personalized on-site, in about thirty minutes.
