The Slim Knot Cord Personalized Necklace is handcrafted in white 18k gold, a solid wire that does not oxidize: a material to recommend to anyone whose hands are often in water or who practices sports regularly. Like all of the Maison's materials, it is hypoallergenic and labeled Responsible Jewellery Council. This piece in 18k gold is guaranteed for 10 years from the date of purchase, a guarantee tied to the amount of pure gold the wire contains, hallmarked and certified, which gives it a resale value proportional to that gold. The same model also exists in rose or yellow 18k gold with the same 10-year guarantee, in 925 sterling silver or in 14k gold-filled, guaranteed for 1 year (the shine of the gold-filled remaining guaranteed for life): a solid gold wire, versus a gold envelope over a base metal, explains the price difference.
How to choose your Personalized Slim Knot Cord Necklace
The name, word, or initials are handcrafted by hand, with pliers, with no mold, in the white gold wire, up to 10 letters, in lowercase script, except for the "J," which takes a capital at the start of a word. Accents and apostrophes cannot be handcrafted, but spaces can be added on request, as can symbols (a number, a heart, an infinity sign) or another alphabet, to be discussed with the atelier. This process takes about 30 minutes, the same time it takes for an in-person personalization for anyone who wishes to come by. The handcrafted motif is then mounted on a textile cord, available in red, blue, or green slim knot, and the necklace adjusts from 30 to 65 cm depending on the desired neck size.
Who it's for, for which occasion
Designed for a woman, this necklace is also worn by a man: it belongs to the Original family, the one with which the Maison, since 2014, began handcrafting names in Paris. At €780, it is suited to a personalized gift as much as to a gift for oneself. Each piece comes in an individual box; to give it as a gift, a bag and a printed card with the customer's message can be added to the cart for €2. When neither the recipient's size nor name is known, an Atelier Paulin gift card, from €50 to €1,500, lets them choose their own piece, material, and size.
