They come in 925 sterling silver, 18k yellow gold, yellow 14k gold-filled, or yellow 14k gold-filled and sterling silver combined: and all of these materials are hypoallergenic, not just silver. The price difference between them comes down to the actual amount of gold present: 14k gold-filled is a solid layer of 585 gold over a metal base, while 18k gold is a solid wire made of 75% pure gold, hallmarked and certified — which gives it a resale value proportional to the amount of gold it contains. Hand-shaped with pliers in a Paris workshop since 2014, never cast in a mold, these pieces come in an individual box and carry a 10-year warranty on 18k gold and a 1-year warranty on gold-filled and sterling silver.
