No mold, no duplication: at Atelier Paulin, gold wire is hand-shaped, gesture after gesture, until your word takes form. Laser micro-welding reinforces it, then barrel work-hardening strengthens the metal and gives it its shape memory. It holds its line, year after year, like the bond it carries.

This ear stud is defined first by its material: a solid 18k yellow gold wire, composed of 75% pure gold, hallmarked and certified. This richness in precious metal is why it carries a ten-year warranty against manufacturing or material defects, and gives the piece a value that stays proportional to the amount of gold it contains. Another signature of this design: the initial is hand-shaped in lowercase cursive, except for the letter J, which is shaped in uppercase. Each piece is hand-shaped with pliers, with no mold involved, by artisans trained for months before their first gesture on a finished piece — a craft born in a Parisian workshop in 2014, where personalization can also be done on-site, in about thirty minutes.

To choose your piece, start with the initial: one letter per piece, chosen at checkout, usually the first letter of a first name. If you'd like to reference several names, simply order several pieces, each with its own letter. Next, specify which ear you'd like — left or right — since the design is offered in both versions. If 18k yellow gold isn't quite what you're looking for, this design is also available in rose 14k gold-filled, rose 18k gold, yellow 14k gold-filled, sterling silver, and white 18k gold; keep in mind that the warranty varies by material, from one year for the 14k gold-filled or sterling silver versions to ten years for solid gold wire — white 18k gold also has the advantage of not oxidizing, a sound choice for anyone whose hands are often in water.
