No mold, no duplication: at Atelier Paulin, gold wire is hand-shaped, gesture after gesture, until your word takes form. Laser micro-welding reinforces it, then barrel work-hardening strengthens the metal and gives it its shape memory. It holds its line, year after year, like the bond it carries.

The Numéro Necklace in yellow 18k gold is defined first by its personalized lettering: cursive lowercase, with the letter "J" hand-shaped in uppercase when it opens a word, without accents or apostrophes. Each piece is made from a single 18k gold wire, hand-shaped with pliers, with no mold involved — a technique the Maison's artisans master only after months of training, well before shaping their first piece of jewelry. Work-hardening, which gives the wire its shape memory and resilience, is carried out on the entire piece after shaping, never letter by letter. Symbols such as a number, a heart, or an infinity sign can also be added on request, while the locket charms available on the site offer further choice: religious symbols, heart, clover, initial.
How to choose your Numéro Necklace
This personalized necklace fastens at 42cm and 45cm thanks to adjustment rings, with a 1cm charm. Plan for about 30 minutes of hand-shaping for a personalization — the same amount of time it takes to have a piece personalized in front of you, directly at the atelier. The design is also available in rose 18k gold and white 18k gold; the latter does not oxidize, making it the material to recommend for anyone who swims often, plays a lot of sport, or frequently has their hands in water. All of these materials are hypoallergenic and certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council. Priced at 760 €, this 18k gold piece carries a 10-year guarantee from the date of purchase against manufacturing or material defects, and retains a value proportional to the amount of gold it contains.
