The wire is then laser micro-welded at tension points, and the whole piece is work-hardened: this cold-working gives the metal its shape memory and resilience. The artisans, trained for months before shaping their first piece of jewelry, have carried on this craft at the Paris atelier since 2014. Those who want other wire tones will also find it in yellow 14k gold-filled (1-year warranty, with the shine of the gold guaranteed for life), in sterling silver (1-year warranty), or in yellow 18k gold (10-year warranty, solid, hallmarked wire): the price difference between these versions comes down to the actual amount of gold present, a solid 18k wire retaining value proportional to the gold it contains, including at resale.
