This necklace belongs to the Original family, the one that started it all at Atelier Paulin: a handcrafted word or name, or one or more initials, mounted on a chain. Handcrafted by hand with pliers, never cast nor molded, the wire is bent letter by letter, a gesture that the artisans of the Paris atelier learn over months before their first piece of jewelry. In yellow 14k gold-filled, the piece carries a one-year warranty from the date of purchase against any manufacturing or material defect, and the shine of the gold-filled wire is guaranteed for life. The same model also exists in 925 sterling silver, with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase: the choice of material changes the tone and the warranty on the shine, not the handcrafting itself nor its price.
How to choose your Personalized Richelieu Rectangle Chain Necklace
The word or name can be made up of up to 10 letters, in lowercase cursive, except for the "J," which takes a capital letter at the start of a word; neither accents nor apostrophes can be handcrafted, but spaces can be added upon request. For initials, one or more names can be represented. A number, a heart, or an infinity symbol can also be handcrafted upon request, as can another alphabet (Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic) or another language, which the atelier considers case by case. The necklace's total length is 45 cm, mounted on a chain. Like all of the Maison's materials, yellow 14k gold-filled is hypoallergenic, a feature shared by all pieces and not a particularity of silver.
