No mold, no duplication: at Atelier Paulin, gold wire is handcrafted, gesture after gesture, until your word takes form. Laser micro-welding reinforces it, then barrel work-hardening strengthens the metal and gives it its shape memory. It holds its line, year after year, like the bond it carries.

This necklace features a handcrafted word or name, or one or more initials, up to 10 letters, in yellow 14k gold-filled wire. The lettering reads in lowercase cursive, with only the "J" capitalized at the start of a word. The 14k gold-filled on this piece carries a lifetime guarantee on its shine, beyond the one-year guarantee covering manufacturing or material defects. Like every piece handcrafted at the atelier, the wire is never cast nor molded: it is worked by hand, with pliers, a gesture the artisans learn over months before handcrafting their first piece of jewelry.
How to choose your Personalized Richelieu Heart Chain Necklace
The word or name is handcrafted in cursive, the only style possible for this continuous script; initials follow the same lettering rule. Accents and apostrophes are not handcrafted, but a space can be added upon request, and a symbol (number, heart, infinity sign) remains possible upon request, as does another alphabet such as Arabic, Hebrew, or Cyrillic, considered case by case by the atelier. The necklace length is set at 45 cm, mounted on a chain. Handcrafting a personalized piece of jewelry takes about 30 minutes, the same time as a personalization done in front of the customer, on site, at the Paris atelier founded in 2014.
