The Initial Medallion Necklace stands out first for its white 18k gold wire, a material that doesn't oxidize and suits those who swim often, exercise a lot, or keep their hands in water throughout the day. The initial, referring to a first name, is hand-shaped in lowercase cursive - except for the letter J, which is shaped in uppercase. This hand-shaping is done by hand, wire-shaped with pliers, with no mold, by artisans trained for months before crafting their first piece, at the Paris atelier founded in 2014. Like every material the Maison works with, this white gold is hypoallergenic and certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council, a mark of responsible sourcing for a piece meant to last.
How to choose your Initial Medallion Necklace
Choosing this necklace starts with choosing an initial: a single letter per piece, standing in for a first name, specified at checkout - for more than one first name, order a piece for each. The pendant measures 2cm and the chain fastens at 42cm or 45cm thanks to adjustment rings, adapting to how it's worn. Symbols can also be added on request - a number, a heart, or an infinity sign - while the site also offers a wide range of locket charms to pair with any piece. Personalization, completed in about thirty minutes, can be done on-site at the atelier, in front of the customer. This piece is priced at $1,200 in white 18k gold, backed by a 10-year guarantee from the date of purchase; it is also available in yellow and rose 18k gold, each version carrying the same 10-year guarantee and holding a value proportional to the gold it contains.
