Care and RepairWhat Sets the Capital Initial Ring Apart
The Capital Initial Ring is defined by its 18k yellow gold wire, hand-shaped with pliers, without any mold, at the Parisian atelier since 2014. Each piece is reinforced with laser micro-welding at tension points, then work-hardened across the entire piece after shaping, giving the wire shape memory and resilience. The lettering appears in capital letters, following the "Capitale" style, for a legible, personal initial. The 18k gold wire holds a value proportional to the amount of gold it contains, a metal that is recycled, recyclable, and certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council.
How to Choose Your Capital Initial Ring
This ring is personalized with a single initial, taken from a first name, hand-shaped in about thirty minutes — sometimes right in front of you at the atelier. Accents, apostrophes, and special characters cannot be hand-shaped, but another alphabet or symbols remain possible on request, to be discussed with the atelier. This one-letter maximum does not depend on the size chosen. As for ring sizing, sizes range from 48 to 62, with 54 the best-selling size, corresponding to a 54 mm finger circumference, or roughly 17.2 mm in diameter. Resizing by up to two sizes remains possible, free of charge unless it requires adding 18k gold material. This design is also available in 18k white gold and 18k rose gold, each backed by a 10-year guarantee from the date of purchase — white gold is recommended for hands often in water, since it does not oxidize.
