Hand-shaped in Paris
No mold, no duplication: at Atelier Paulin, gold wire is hand-shaped, gesture after gesture, until your word takes form. Laser micro-welding reinforces it, then barrel work-hardening strengthens the metal and gives it its shape memory. It holds its line, year after year, like the bond it carries.
The craftsmanship, in detail
The concierge service, after the workshop
A hand-shaped piece meant to express a bond should last as long as it does. Atelier Paulin's artisans restore it, or remake it as new, in less than a week, in the very workshop where it was born.
Care and RepairCapital Initial Ring: what sets it apart
The Capital Initial Ring stands out right away through its lettering: unlike models hand-shaped in lowercase, it carries a letter in CAPITALS, in the "Capitale" style. It is personalized with a single initial, the one from a name that matters to you or to the person you're giving it to. Hand-shaped in Rose 18k gold, a solid wire made of 75% pure gold, hallmarked and certified, it carries a 10-year warranty on 18k gold from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing or material defects. It is also available in Yellow 18k gold as well as White 18k gold, for those who prefer a different tone while keeping the same capital lettering and the same artisan gesture found in every piece hand-shaped in our Paris atelier.
How to choose your Capital Initial Ring
The choice starts with size: the Capital Initial Ring is offered from size 48 to 62, the French size corresponding directly to finger circumference in millimeters — a size 54, the most requested, measures 54 mm around. If any doubt remains at the time of ordering, resizing is still possible, by up to two sizes depending on the lettering and the model, and it's free unless it requires adding 18k gold material. Next comes the choice of material: Rose 18k gold stands out for its warm tone, but if you're still torn between shades, you can compare this design with its Yellow gold or White gold version before having your chosen initial hand-shaped.
Who it's for, for which occasion
Designed for a woman, the Capital Initial Ring slips as easily onto her own finger as into a case meant for someone else: it's an initial ring, simple and personal, that celebrates a name without ever fully spelling it out. It's a favorite pick among our personalized rings, to mark a birthday, a birth, or simply the wish to carry a piece of oneself day to day. It also makes a thoughtful gift for her when looking for a discreet gesture, or a Mother's Day gift to say thank you with a single letter. Given on its own or paired with another piece from the Maison, it remains, above all, a personalized gift.
