Atelier Paulin naît à Paris en 2014, d'un geste presque intime : écrire un prénom en fil d'or pour accueillir une naissance, dire l'amour sans l'enfermer. De ce premier bijou à la main, Matthias Lavaux fait une vocation. Chaque lettre se trace au fil. Chaque courbe garde la trace du geste qui l'a faite.
En 2022, la maison ouvre un nouveau chapitre. Le fil sort du lettrage. La même technique de façonnage, le même geste, appliqués cette fois à des dessins figuratifs et abstraits. Une écriture sans alphabet, où le fil devient ligne libre, signe, symbole.
Dix ans plus tard, l'atelier garde la même main. Chaque collection se dessine à l'établi, chaque commande passe par les doigts d'un artisan, et chaque mot prend forme, lettre après lettre, depuis un seul fil continu.
Atelier Paulin was born in Paris in 2014, from an almost intimate gesture : writing a name in gold wire to celebrate a birth, to say love without locking it in. From that first hand-shaped piece, Matthias Lavaux made a vocation. Each letter is drawn from the wire. Each curve carries the trace of the hand that made it.
In 2022, the maison opened a new chapter. The wire stepped out of lettering. The same shaping technique, the same gesture, this time applied to figurative and abstract designs. A writing without an alphabet, where the wire becomes a free line, a sign, a symbol.
Ten years on, the atelier keeps the same hand. Every collection is drawn at the bench, every commission passes through the fingers of an artisan, and every word takes shape, letter by letter, from a single continuous thread.
Atelier Paulin nasce a Parigi nel 2014, da un gesto quasi intimo: scrivere un nome in filo d'oro per celebrare una nascita, per esprimere l'amore senza imprigionarlo. Da quel primo pezzo modellato a mano, Matthias Lavaux ne ha fatto una vocazione. Ogni lettera è disegnata dal filo. Ogni curva conserva la traccia della mano che l'ha creata.
Nel 2022, la maison apre un nuovo capitolo. Il filo va oltre il lettering. La stessa tecnica di modellazione, lo stesso gesto, applicati questa volta a disegni figurativi e astratti. Una scrittura senza alfabeto, dove il filo diventa una linea libera, un segno, un simbolo.
Dieci anni dopo, l'atelier mantiene la stessa mano. Ogni collezione viene disegnata al banco, ogni commissione passa attraverso le dita di un artigiano e ogni parola prende forma, lettera dopo lettera, da un unico filo continuo.
